Golly, I've only ever seen one worse doorcard - on a dutch car.... accepting need to change that, its all normal stuff thats been pictured.
Its a shame he has pitched it so low, I see some previous breakers names circling...Its hard to push the price up now...To be fair Hamish did give everyone here the option a month ago.

One wonders how we solve the challenges with matching sellers with potential owners.

Most who read a welcome thread are likely to be seasoned forum members, who in turn are likely to have one or more BRMs already.

It's a great idea to direct the passive lookers to this site to allow for a concentration of resource, but how do we make it clear that there are vehicles for sale to the potential buyer?

Do we need some kind of BRM-Mart?

I suppose most people on here already have one so not the best place to advertise I guess, however for someone to buy it and have it restored to put back on the road by a garage if unable to do it themselves it wouldn't be cost effective with labour rates. However I don't see much money in breaking one for spares either apart from the gearbox nothing is worth that much with a very limited buyers market.

One? I'm maxed out otherwise I'd have been very happy to stand in the queue. Currently two are outside! One with Yves and one at home in France. (more important (family significant) cars get covered space so Madam tells me.)

But if you are a serious buyer surely you would be looking in all the usual places? The problem is there are so many people who say they want one but actually it’s just bluster…..

Makes me chuckle when so say active buyers say advertised car is too far away. Ok there is a cost to viewing, but the times you find the extra unadvertised bonus when you turn up is great.

Serious buyers would, yes. But I'd guess that there are a lot more passive buyers who would want one on impulse :D

If it's the right car..... it's the right car.

I live near Carmarthen in South Wales.

    BRMs have been purchased....
    York - 5 hours away
    Birmingham - 3 hours away
    Knighton - 2 hours away

Freelander - think it was Plymouth 3 3/4 hours

VVC coupe - Bournemouth, 3 and a half hours.

More recently the Range Rover Sport from Cambridge.... 3 and 3/4 hours

Seems I'm incapable of buying a car anywhere near my home.
