Just come back from a 1000 mile round trip to North Yorkshire with my old MG friends. 1 MGF suffered HGF so having the only 4 seater I did the right thing and let them have the rear seats for the rest of the trip. Still no one could stay with the BRM over the Buttertup Pass and only suffered with smoke pouring off the front brakes at the end of it, but no brake fade.

Car is now in the garage being prepared for its MOT in 2 weeks. Excellent 3 days up north and the BRM showed several MGF/TF's the way to do it.

I have to say power wise and confidence wise the BRM is way better than the MG TF although mine is only a 1800

I think perhaps John himself is the biggest influencing factor on speed, not the car:broon:.
