Well, I'll set the ball rolling. As far as I know the Rover BRM was never exported to France, so when we decided to look for one the nearest we found was in Switzerland at the top end of Lake Geneva. Number 1063. Spec is air-con, no sunroof, heated washers. Otherwise pretty well standard spec I think - except that the steering wheel's on the wrong side. Did the deal with an Alfa-Romeo dealer who had taken the car in part exchange about 18 months earlier - and wished he never had! Felt pretty smug with the deal until I was informed 1) I couldn't drive the car away as she had to be fitted with special export plates, 2) therefore had to fork out for a return trip (12 hours total) the following weekend. Then when we came to import her into France I was informed that Switzerland isn't in the EU, so VAT was payable. Not so smug now! That was nearly 8 years ago. What a great car.
