OK, number plate? or perhaps the dealer ID on it... What is the road name? Anyway, you can answer: Fewer than 100 in service and perhaps up to another 200 hidden away. HML suggests an optimistic 350 still exist.
Unfortunately I can't answer, the original photo was taken by James bayerman who I have no connection to. It's on a group called 'cars you don't see anymore' why people blur out number plates when it's in the public domain I don't know why. I will send that person a message to see if he will give me the reg number and rough location of picture. However no guarantee they will respond.
Picture with reg number. Seems a decent guy who took the photo, was an mg zr owner back in the day. The car is in Milton Keynes.
Well, we know quite a bit about this one, obviously we know its build number and a previous custodian was kind enough to confirm body no too. Quite a colourful service life. Retailed at Charles Hurst Belfast as one of a pair (shipped from compound and registations align). Came to the UK and lived here for 7 years, has been on a different (known) personal plate for a while, Went back to NI and back onto its original plate, then return to UK again, Was up for sale for a while at a strong price for the time, its now housed somewhere (known) in MK with a name that is recognised.
I don't know if it's still a problem, but when pictures of cars first became easy to find on the Internet, there was spats of 'clones' being made. Photo theft is also quite high, with people passing off things as their own, and having details like number plate can make ownership seem more plausible. Not just cars, but we've had a family issue where products they were making had their photos stolen and other sellers using them to sell their own wares. And finally... Technically reg plates are classed as PII under GDPR rules. Although they're not directly identifying an individual, they can be used in correlation with other data to identify a specific person. Let's not even go down the rabbit hole where ones location can be identified just based on what's in the background and the intrusions that's caused for some out there.... In short, I can see why some choose to try and minimise impact, but the real benefit to them will probably be debated forever by two opposing camps
Apologies lads! If I had seen these a few months ago I could have saved you all the trouble! It is mine, and still lives with me in MK and is well loved and looked after as my daily! parked in that exact spot as we speak!
