I would suggest first to check and possibly clean earth point on the LH wing, behined engine ecu.

Earth point is E2 from picture in this thread: https://www.thebrm.co.uk/index.php?threads/rover-brm-earth-points-locations-guide.7087/

I have actually added multiple earth connections 0 but will check again.

It is odd that it is windows, cigare lighter and fog lights - heater fan still works

Wrt the color - when i got the car the paint was in poor state and it needed a replacement wing. I talked with a local paint shop but they were busy - so I went with the guys who did another of my race cars. After talking with him we chose a slightly different shade with more metallic to hope to make it easier to see on track. There are more pictures at link below - including some showing that the match is close but a disctintly "brighter" metallic look to it.

The wheels are spare ones from MG ZR - I have 2 sets of BRM ones.

    Ahhh so it's a wrap!

I actually like the brighter metallic / BRG, but it does stick out in a lineup of BRMs

Worked out the issue - it was a broken wire that led to fuse. I spliced in and now everything works.

Which wire, where? reason for failure? Corrosion, flexing? Is it a function of the cars re purposing to a racer or may it be seen in a road car? Some on here will call for a picture if you can.
But of course pleased you found the issue.

In order to run the vbox (camera/data system) it was necessary to splice into live that had been radio feed. I think it was flexing and also there are so many things builder had removed that it may even be due to an issue when loom was hacked!

Thanks, we shall put it down to the repurposing then...
Didnt know you had the Ka as well....I had light contact with Pick up and Van versions which were built as concept demonstrators, but never got any further.

    Hi all
Yes, that is my old car! I sold it to Andrew Barron in Wales. He has wrapped it in a different shade of green and now races it in the WRDA Championship.
Good to see it is still racing, hopefully he will join the forum!
    Best wishes
