We have now been offered a stand at, Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 21st- Sunday 23rd March 2024. We have Christmas break to have a think what we want to do and who may want to attend! We will need 3 cars, one almost perfect if possible and 2 to be worked on. Cars will go in the NEC on around 9 am Thursday 20th March and stay there till Sunday 6pm. We will need help on the stand and people to do the work, we should get free passes for everyone on the stand! We will as ever give everyone who helps on the stand time to look round the show as well as help on the stand itself! Please add questions, or express an interest in showing or working on your/another car and we can work things out from there! @Antony Parsons has already expressed an interest
The vinyl stand will be available at the very least! To get the 'resstoration' discussion flowing... Are there any limits on what can be done? I presume we won't be letting @Fast Alan loose with a welder, or be encouraging anyone with some spray painting? For what it's worth, I won't be offering mine up for the pristine example
Thanks @GT- Body work is the biggest problem, due to dust sparks and fumes etc! So mechanical/trim jobs are possibly the best to do on the stand!
Just looked at train tickets £35 one way it's cheaper to get a ticket for the return rather than than each way.
If we're looking for someone to spend 3 days doing a particular activity, Amazon currently has 62% off... Sharpie Permanent Markers | Fine Point for Bold Details | Red Ink | 12 Marker Pens : Amazon.co.uk: Stationery & Office Supplies
Well, there's 3 whole days to fill! If anyone chooses headlining, it's a great task, but definitely needs a table!
Some one put a comment on the YouTube video from No 27 and I quote The headlining looks like the head gasket
(quietly mumbles) I have material, and happy to donate if its used to promote the cause...Do a video and get it onto uhu-tube....
