I have used this company before for some struts for the 45, obviously different part but same make and that's been fine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/27616151...hAFm7A3TRC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Stabilus were oe, but are quite pricy in the aftermarket. There are plenty of sources of suitable alternatives, (circa £10 each if memory serves.) I did a thread on it some time back which gives you the spec needed. I cant recall the details off hand.
OE was Sabilus Lift-O-Mat 6741DA, Rover part number was BHE450001. Now the useful stuff, The closed length between 8mm ball centres is 390mm and the open length is 600mm ie we have a stroke of 210mm. But the other bit of important data is it’s a 360N strut. This determines how much weight it will support. 1kg acted on by gravity exerts a very round 10N. ie each strut exerts a force which will support about 36kg vertically, but as the strut acts to support the tailgate we have to consider the vectors involved in a triangle with two fixed and one variable length side, and that is why it doesn’t ram you in the face as soon as the button is pushed but gently takes the strain as the tailgate opens up.. .
Yeah! I've had a number of items from them too. The struts are great, if a little strong. Would recommend them.
